Hi, My Sweet Ones. I was thinking about something this morning. There are many things that people say to never do such as cry, get angry, be afraid, and so on. But you are human. You have feelings that will cause you to do those things sometimes depending on the circumstances.
For now, let’s take the subject of getting angry. You know, there are times when it is OK to be angry about something, but only for 5 minutes.:) After 5 minutes, get your cool on, take a deep breath, and forgive or forget. You might say, “But Nana, they hurt my feelings.” “I worked so hard on my project and my little brother broke it. I’m so mad!” Or, “The neighbor boy knocked my ice cream cone right out of my hand. That wasn’t very nice, and it made me so angry!”
I know it’s sometimes hard to let your anger go but just try the 5-minute rule.
Do you know why? It doesn’t do you any good to stay angry. It doesn’t fix anything, and it doesn’t affect the other person if a person made you angry. It only hurts you. So it’s not worth it to stay angry. It can even make you feel sick if you remain angry and upset.

You want to stay healthy and strong. You have a long future ahead of you. So learn to let things roll off your back. In other words, try not to let what other people say or do, or circumstances, make you so angry that you stay angry.
In fact, there are some things that if you look at it in another way, it may just make you laugh. And, it is so good to have deep down belly laugh at least once a day. I was told when I was little that “when you laugh it shakes up your liver, which is very healthy for you.”
So don’t take things too seriously, or hold anger or frustration in for too long. Let it go. Take a deep breath, and smile, even if you have to fake the smile for a minute or two. It is really hard to stay angry or mad with a smile on your face.:) We’ll talk more soon…
Love you bunches!
Nana
